About project

The project scope involved interior design of British council Head office, Bangladesh. The building was simple one storied brick building made for residential purpose. British Council rented the building for their office. Their concern was to design the interior spaces for office uses and give a modern look.

To keep coherence of simplicity of the existing building MDM designed interior spaces using simple geometric shapes and colors. Interior walls were painted with white, red, blue, yellow and orange.  These bright colors increased the vibrant aspect of user’s energy to work efficiently during the office hour. IES spotlights falling on the walls are creating different shades of the walls to create variations of colors. The interior space is divided by reception, waiting room, office space, class rooms, dining area, meeting room, conference room etc.

Paints are the major elements of this interior design. MDM used wooden boards as partition walls to create spaces. Glass doors were used to make the communication easier between staffs and customers. False ceiling was designed critically to use modern lights and hide mechanical wires. Floors are decorated with marbles and tiles depending function of the space.
