Bank Asia briefed MDM to fit out the offices of their new branch in the Agrabad Commercial Area, Chittagong, Bangladesh. Mukta Dinwiddie Maclaren Architects were selected after a competitive proposal and appointed as architectural consultant to provide architectural, mechanical, electrical and IT design services, including project management.
To ensure the space was future-proof and flexible enough to allow for changes or expansion in future banking activities, MDM designed an open-plan office measuring around 900sqm. The space includes a large banking hall, reception, waiting area and well-located functional areas, organized for practical use.
The design uses Aluco-bond for the exterior cladding.
The project was completed in 1997.
