The Sheraton Dhaka — a five-star hotel in the prime commercial and residential district of Minto Road — appointed MDM to convert the existing Winter Garden into a fully equipped multi-purpose function and convention hall, along with modifications to related facilities. 

The resulting convention hall provides approximately 9,600 sqft of event floor space at a clear height of 20 feet. The programme includes a dedicated VIP area, a service corridor, a main entry and lobby, a secondary entrance connecting to the main hotel building, separate male and female washroom suites, storage, and a designated fire exit. A mezzanine level adds a further 1,600 sqft of usable space. Every element was designed in accordance with contemporary architectural principles. 

The prefabricated steel structure is engineered to withstand wind speeds of up to 160 km/h and is clad in fireproof materials throughout. Walls and roof are thermally insulated and the ceiling is finished with decorative acoustic panels, ensuring both comfort and performance for large-scale events. The project was delivered on time within its original programme.
