MDM was commissioned to renovate and extend the Talisman garments factory within the Savar Export Processing Zone in Dhaka. The site is surrounded by adjacent garment facilities, and the brief called for a building that was both highly functional and aesthetically considered in its industrial context. 

The two-storey building accommodates factory and office functions across both levels. The ground floor houses fabric and materials storage, trims and accessories, a finished goods warehouse and a packing area. The first floor contains cutting sections, additional fabric storage, a finished goods warehouse and office rooms. A mezzanine floor was incorporated to make efficient use of the full ceiling height and available floor area. 

The building skeleton is constructed from steel beams and columns, with deck slabs engineered to carry the loads imposed by industrial clothing machinery. Each elevation combines brick walls with glazing, and aluminium louvers are used on the primary facade to regulate natural light. In compliance with international health and safety standards, eight dedicated fire exit stairs and a series of service lifts are integrated into the design.
